Ranging from interior to urban design, each project values the desires and needs of clients.The works of the studio expand to construction and project management areas, as well as consultancy on various international projects. The office also holds many awards on architectural and urban design competitions.
MELİS VARKAL, PARTNER • ARCHITECT
Graduated from Middle East Technical University with Bachelor of Science in Architecture with one-year educational experience in Valencia Polytechnic University, she started to work on retrofitting existing residential blocks in Barcelona. After she returned back, she worked at Norm Architects in Istanbul on several different scale projects. Her masters degree is on Urban Management and Development at Erasmus University, Rotterdam, where she specialized on community-driven urban retrofitting. In 2013, together with Tuba Dogu, she founded urbantank, to work on human-centered and participatory urban environments through research and various scale interventions. Besides the practice, she is a part-time Lecturer, teaching at the graduation architectural design studio and master program 'Space and Digital Culture' at Yaşar University.
M. GÖKHAN ÇELİKAĞ, PARTNER • ARCHITECT
Graduated from Istanbul Technical University and University of Miami with bachelor of science degree in Architecture, he started to work with Dome Architects for Dimond of Istanbul Project. Meanwhile he continued hgis master degree on Project and Construction Management in ITU and specialized on "Intellectual property rights in architectural design works". Between 2005-2013 he worked with TAV Airports & Construction, where he was involved in several international airport projects at construction and design departments. Besides the practice, he is a part-time lecturer for "4th Year Architectural Design Studio" at Yasar University.
TUBA DOGU, COLLABORATOR • ARCHITECT
Holds a Bachelor degree in Architecture from Middle East Technical University; with one-year educational experience in Università Di Bologna. She completed the degree of Master of Design Science at The University of Sydney where she specialized on sustainable housing strategies in low-income settlements. Between her studies, she worked in several architectural firms and NGO’s in Turkey, Brazil and Australia. Being passionate about alternative spatial practices and human related environments, she travelled widely through Central America and Asia Pacific. Together with Melis Varkal, she founded urbantank; a design and thinking unit focusing on people oriented and participatory urban environments.She continues her PhD studies at IzTech, and currently lives in New York studying at Columbia University with Fullbright Scholarship.
MEHMET HEPAKSAZ, COLLABORATOR
Having been experienced on airport construction, he worked in Haydar Aliyev Center Project supporting the construction office in Baku. He worked with TAV Airports&Construction as the head of 'architectural steelwork' during Adnan Menderes Airport and with Polimeks as Project Group Chief during Ashgabat Airport construction. He has been a collaborator of ofis.vesaire since 2014.
MERVE KÖZ, ARCHITECT
Graduated from Yaşar University, İzmir with Bachelor's degree on Architecture, she has participated in several workshops and competitions during her studies. Her projects have been exhibited in various locations. She has been a collaborator of ofis.vesaire since January 2017.
T. TAYLAN KÜÇÜKALİ, INTERIOR DESIGNER
He received his bachelor’s degree on interior design from Yaşar University, Izmir.
